A short course held over the course of a morning, aimed at those who work in private equity real estate funds in acquisition, real estate analysis, fund management or similar seeking a deeper understanding or those in need to refresh their quantitative skills. The course is especially targeted at junior researchers and real estate analysts with up to 4 years’ of experience who need to improve their knowledge of mathematical finance and statistics.


Applying essential quantitative methods for real estate

The short course consists of three parts. The course start with a refresher by introducing basic math and statistics for business and finance including key measures like standard deviation, covariance, and geometric average. The second part moves on to address concepts of indexing, compounding, present value, DCF. The course finishes with a short example of regression analysis at its applications in real estate analysis.

• Calculating, averaging, aggregating returns
• Forecasting variables using regression models
• Using DCF and present value analysis

A full-day course running from 9:30am-5pm offering 6 hrs of CPD and an additional module on statistical probability theory is available (see ‘quantitative methods within Real Estate’)
